Focal Point

This exhibits what I want to do with my concentration. Everything is blurred out despite the important matter in the photo. Whats important is possibly love?

Finalization of My Concentration

The idea of tunnel vision really stuck with me. I'm going to create images that focus on a specific object while the background and everything else is blurred. I want to take this idea a step further and create images of desireable objects being the focus. Here in these examples just objects are more focused, not really desireable objects. You still get the idea..

Tunnel Vision (2)

I want to create images that focus on a specific object of interest or desire. I want to focus the image on that object and blur out the everything other than the focused object. For instance, someone told me to take pictures at a fair in line for a ride. Have the ride stick out while everything else is not focused.

Putting the relevant equation in the image

I want to create images that depict how math builds or creates a certain landmark, building, or statistic.

For example, look at this image of an MLB players batting average

If i took an picture of a statistic I could use the equation of how to calculate that statistic and place the equation somewhere in the photo.

In this image i would put the equation how to calculate batting average: Avg. = Hits/At Bats

The Next Step

After the critique of our Concentration's in class I took not from other opinions. Yes my pictures displayed math, but the images were almost too obvious that math was used. When I shoot next I want to create images that portray math, but I want to make where the math is shown less obvious. The math needs to be less obvious and even more abstract than the door handle image.

You may think that this is just string, but the patterns required to make this shape the person is holding involves mathematical ideas. There was a certain way to do this, and patterns is what math is about. I also want to make images that show possible equations used in the subjects construction. Perhaps I could use the idea of putting the specific formula on each specific image.
(feedback pleaseee)

Math Is Everywhere

This week I displayed photos that I created to try and depict how math is everywhere in the sense that we use it for everything. Construction, patterns in our day, and things that require numbers to understand something (measurements) are what I attempted to portray.

In this photo I tried to take an abstract route in the sense of eximplifying math; the key has a certain shape and pattern to fit in the door. There is a formula required to make this key fit and function.

Math

I think it would be cool to have math or give examples of math. Whether it's showing a view of someone's homework, angles that we overlook because they are normal. Math can even be depicted in a Baseball photo. There areall these formulas floating around the world which were created to help us define the magnitude or depth of something and we don't notice them because math is literally everywhere.
